We set up booths at state and county fairs and tell people about the Lord Jesus. In the past we have only been able to do one fair in the state of Texas. That was the fair in Beaumont. For 1998 we have asked the Lord to let us see many souls saved in Texas. We have or will be applying to 23 more fairs in Texas. The mission board has asked Dick to head up that step of faith. So far, the Lord has blessed with contracts for 8 of the fairs applied for; Conroe, Galveston, Pasadena, Paris, Longview, Rosenberg, Gatesville, and Beaumont . In 1998 and 1999 we also did the Derrick Day Fair in Corsicanna, TX.

We are looking for soul-winners who are interested in witnessing at the fairs either part time or full time. We spent 7 years in Guyana building a church in a remote village which could only be reached by boat. We used medicine to reach many, both at our church and other churches. When we had to leave Guyana we joined Operation Renewed Hope, a worldwide ministry which uses medical clinics to promote the Gospel, plant new churches, and greatly accelerate the growth of mission churches.
We work with missionaries and national pastors of like faith in remote areas of the world. Every effort is planned with the end goal of soul winning and church planting. The Lord blessed us with 13 people joining the church and becoming charter members. Mike Bell, who was with us from the first service, had been praying nearly 20 years for a fundamental church to be started in Market Harborough. Mike opened the service in prayer thanking God for answering his prayer of many years ago.

We praise the Lord for our attendance steadily going up, the spiritual growth of our people, and for the place which the Lord allows us to rent for services. But most of all for our first adult convert, Carl, who was saved March 12, 2006. After a message from Acts 3:19, Carl did not respond to the invitation but after the service he broke down in tears and said he needed to be saved. One of our men dealt with him and led him to Christ. Please pray for Carl that he will grow in the Lord and that we will see many more come to Jesus Christ.

One of our young ladies, Megan, had been running away from the Lord and her family for about a year. The night she came home, Megan found one of our leaflets in the kitchen and asked her parents if they could go the next day. In the past few months God has done such a marvelous work in Megan’s heart. She has recently started to help in a Sunday school class and with a young peoples outreach. Megan has such an excitement about serving the Lord. Please pray for God’s direction and will in her life.

Our Sunday school has continued to grow and in the past several months five children have come to know Christ as Savior, including our oldest son, Stephen. We are starting a Friday night teen club at the end of March to reach more of the young people in town. Pray this ministry will be used to see many young people saved.

In September we will be starting a Bible Institute to train people for the ministry. To Speak At CBC Wednesday, February 22nd, 2006

Dear Friend,

Seventy-eight people were saved through the Ranch's New York City evangelistic outreach recently. Nine others received assurance of their salvation, and we passed out 30,000 pieces of Gospel literature. We are so thankful for those who went on this trip and for those who helped support this effort in other ways.

But let me tell you about one particularly interesting follow-up call we received after the New York trip was over. A lady called requesting church information for the New York City area. Her 19-year old son had recently moved to the city and desperately needed a good church home. He had received a tract from someone in our group and now his mother was calling us based upon our phone number on the tract. Where was this mom calling from? She turned out to be a neighbor who lives one mile from the Ranch! The mission work so greatly needed 1,000 miles north was the same kind of work needed one mile east.

And the same "missionaries" on staff here who enjoyed the support and prayers undergirding their work in New York City need it just as much now for their work in Murfreesboro. In the coming months they will be ministering to both young and old, both deaf and hearing people from New York, Florida, Ohio, Oklahoma and a host of other states who will join us in this revival atmosphere on the Ranch.

Would you make it a point to pray this month for the men and women of the Bill Rice Ranch? And would you prayerfully consider supporting them and their work? Our hearts are grateful for God's goodness to us and for people like you with an interest in this ministry.

Your friend,
Wil Rice IV

President, Bill Rice Ranch, Inc.

Brand New Ministry! They decided to start a mothers day out program here at the church.
It will be open 2 days a week, Tuesday and Thursday, from 9am – 2pm so that Mom’s may have some time to go shopping, go out on a date with her husband, schedule a doctors appointment, or just get away for a few hours.
They feel that it would be a blessing to be able to bring your children to the church, to be watched by Christian friends in our own community, and be taught Bible lessons and children’s songs etc.
Children old enough to learn from a curriculum will be taught lessons as a pre-kindergarden class.

Monthly Fees:
$120.00 per month per child (tentative) 2 days a week or $70.00 a month per child 1 day a week.
Tuition is a monthly fee regardless of how many days are in the month. Several of our men had the day off their regular jobs for Veterans Day and spent it painting the fence on Klein Road in front of the church. Jimmy Ortiz ram-rodded the whole project. Approximately 5 long hours of bending and stretching, and groaning and 15 gallons of paint later it was finally finished. In addition to Jimmy thanks to all that helped including Fugie Rodriguez, Rey Escobedo, Brad Nichols, Ricky Bailey, and Pastor Beatty. Our first missionary speaker was Javier Almanza from Xalapa Mexico and the last missionary of the week was Randy Smith from the Ivory Coast .

Brother Almanza preached a humbling message on sacrifice. He said that a sacrifice has to be something that costs us, either time or money or energy, or it is not really a sacrifice. Two days after he preached for us he was re-entering Mexico with a car that someone had donated to them from here in Texas . He of course didn’t have the title yet, because it takes several weeks to receive it. That was enough for the Mexican authorities to put him in jail! He was in jail for several days, but instead of feeling sorry for himself he organized 3 services and preached to the inmates there and had almost 30 professions of faith! The Lord evidently had people there that night that knew they needed Christ and were open to a clear presentation of the Gospel, and so he sent Javier.

On the last night of the conference, Randy Smith, our missionary to the Ivory Coast spoke and gave a report on the mission there. It was extremely interesting to hear how people in other countries respond to the Gospel. But the testimony of how his wife almost died of malaria and is still recovering was a deep heart searching time for all of us.
